AUDIO RECORDING & MIXING (CASE STUDY)

“First Date” - Next Stop Theatre

This is a highlight reel I put together of my work as the audio recordist and sound designer of Next Stop Theatre's film production of First Date.

MIXING COMPETITION - Hosted by Lewitt Microphones

“Dirty” - Marina and The Kats - Mix Entry

This mix highlights the use of Studio One 5 for multitrack mixing. Products used in this mix are Ozone by iZotope, Fresh Air by Slate Digital, SDRR2 Virtual Tube Amplifier from Klanghelm, and the WLM Meter by Waves on the master output for loudness measurement (aiming for -16 LUFS). For Reverb, I used the Fog Convolver with a “Stairway” model to provide an alley-way jazz ambience to the background. Video was recorded using OBS.

COMPOSITION & DESIGN REEL

This excerpt reel features sonic elements from various film projects, and contains music created by me entirely for these specific projects, some of which are works-in-progress.

VACANT - STUDENT FILM (OPENING SOUND DESIGN)

A student film collaboration with Charles D. Belt. This abstract introduction to the narrative aims to showcase a declining earth and humanity’s escape to the stars. Sound design and composition created using synth patches made with Spectrasonic’s Omnisphere.

SOUND EFFECTS & DESIGN DEMONSTRATIONS

An audio-only presentation of various sound effects, sonic manipulations, and effect demonstrations from assorted smaller projects, many of which were used in the productions listed below.
